In his capacity as Royal Protector of the Holy Orthodox Order of Saint George the Great Martyr, Prince Constantine has formally welcomed the historic milestone achieved during the Order’s official delegation and pilgrimage to Egypt in October 2026.
During a solemn audience at the Patriarchal See in Alexandria, His Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa—occupying the second throne of the ancient Christian Pentarchy, the Apostolic Throne of Saint Mark—graciously accepted the mantle of Supreme Spiritual Guardian and Ecclesiastical Protector of the Order. During the same audience, His Divine Beatitude personally received the Order’s Grand Knight, His Most Excellency Konstantine Pandolfi, as a Knight of the Patriarchal Order of Saint Sabbas the Sanctified.
This patriarchal blessing establishes a dual-protectorate architecture for the Order, pairing the temporal and regalian protection of the Royal and Princely House of Zaccaria de Damalà with the direct spiritual guardianship of an ancient autocephalous Apostolic See.

The paternal embrace of this spiritual guardianship was made visibly manifest on 10 October 2026 at the historic Patriarchal Monastery of Saint Sabbas (Mar Saba) in Alexandria. Marking the twenty-second anniversary of his election to the Apostolic Throne of Saint Mark, His Divine Beatitude presided over the Divine Patriarchal Liturgy while bearing the Grand Cross sash and star of the Holy Orthodox Order of Saint George the Great Martyr.
Extending his warmest congratulations to His Divine Beatitude on the anniversary of his election, as well as to Grand Knight Konstantine Pandolfi and the entire delegation, Prince Constantine commended their faithful dedication to the Order’s sacred mission, reaffirming the steadfast support of the House of Zaccaria de Damalà for the Order's continuing humanitarian initiatives across the Levant and Africa.
